PasteShelf license and privacy
Your license
One purchase licenses one person to use PasteShelf on their own Windows computers, including for professional work and commercial customer service. The license does not expire. Additional users need their own licenses. You may keep backups and export your text, which remains yours. You may not redistribute or resell the app or share your private purchase download, except where applicable law gives you that right.
Lifetime updates
All future PasteShelf versions are included at no extra charge through your purchase download. There is no annual renewal. Separately named products are not included. Release dates and specific future features are not promised. The installed app works offline. Choosing Check for updates contacts this website for public version information; checks do not run automatically.
Local clipboard storage
PasteShelf saves up to 50 pins and, if you enable history, 100 recent text copies. History starts paused. Your shelf and its previous-save recovery copy are stored locally and encrypted with Windows protection for your account. This does not protect against every program running as you or a compromised account. Pasted replies remain on the Windows clipboard, where other programs may be able to read them.
Network and purchases
The app has no analytics, advertising, cloud sync, or license-activation service. It does not upload clipboard text, pinned replies, or your purchase identity. A manual update check sends an ordinary HTTPS request with your IP address and the app user agent; server and CDN operators may log it. Opening purchase downloads takes you to Lemon Squeezy in your browser, under that service’s terms and privacy policy.
Visiting this website
This website uses first-party analytics to measure page visits and interactions such as link clicks and scrolling. It also stores your chosen theme in your browser. If you subscribe to the newsletter, the subscription form sends your email address to the website’s newsletter service and asks you to confirm by email. These website features are separate from the installed app. Contact the support email below with questions about information you submit.
Exports, deletion and removal
Portable .pspins exports contain unencrypted pin text and shortcuts, without history. Keep them private and back them up outside Windows before a reset. Deleting a pin or clearing history updates both the current shelf and its normal recovery copy. These actions do not erase exports, other backups, previously preserved unreadable files, or the active clipboard. Uninstalling keeps your local shelf. To remove it, quit the app and delete its data folder, as explained in the guide. Secure hardware erasure is not provided.
Refunds and support
Request a full refund within 30 calendar days of purchase by email. No reason is required; the request date determines eligibility. Refunds go through the original checkout provider to the original payment method. Bank processing times vary. After a refund, the license ends: stop using and remove the refunded copy. Your exported text remains yours. A free order has no paid amount to refund.
Your rights
These terms preserve mandatory consumer rights and any independently applicable third-party rights. Microsoft retains its rights in Windows components and the Microsoft C/C++ runtime. For support, email only the information needed to explain the problem. Your message is received through the support mailbox; do not send passwords, card details, private conversations, or clipboard exports.
