PasteShelf app privacy

PasteShelf stores your pinned replies, shortcut assignments, clipboard history, and history setting locally in %LOCALAPPDATA%\PasteShelf. History starts paused. When enabled, up to 100 recent text copies are retained; up to 50 pins are retained separately.

The normal shelf and its previous-save recovery copy are encrypted using Windows protection for your account. This is not protection against every program running as you or against an already compromised Windows account. Other programs may read the active Windows clipboard. PasteShelf leaves a pasted reply on that clipboard.

PasteShelf does not send clipboard content, pinned replies, or your purchase identity over the network. It has no analytics, advertising, cloud synchronization, or license-activation service. Choosing Check for updates makes an HTTPS request to karimmesallam.com for public version information. The request includes the ordinary connection IP address and an app user agent; server/CDN operators may log those requests under the website's privacy policy. Update checks are never started automatically.

My purchases and downloads opens Lemon Squeezy in your browser. Purchases, payments, receipts, download access, and refunds are handled through that service under its terms and privacy policy. A browser visit is separate from local clipboard storage.

Clear recent history removes history from the current shelf and normal recovery copy; Delete removes the selected pin from both. Separate exports, previously preserved unreadable files, Windows backups, and the active Windows clipboard are not erased by those commands. Portable .pspins exports contain unencrypted pin text and shortcuts and exclude history. Keep them private.

Uninstalling keeps your local shelf so you can reinstall. To remove it, quit PasteShelf and delete %LOCALAPPDATA%\PasteShelf. Secure erasure of storage hardware is not provided. Before a Windows reset, export pins and keep the export outside the installation being reset.
