How this is calculated

Heights come from FES2022, a global ocean tide model, corrected against two years of the Aqaba tide gauge: 8 in 10 highs and lows land within about 17 minutes of the measured sea. One curve covers every Dahab site, and with a range under a metre, slack timing matters more than height. Heights are in centimetres above Lowest Astronomical Tide, and slack high is any time within 3 cm of high tide. Wind comes from Open-Meteo. It is a prediction: wind and air pressure can shift the real sea a few centimetres.
